Thanksgiving break

We spent the last few days in western PA visiting my parents. In the past we have split each holiday between two locations, so it was nice to stay put this time.

We got to see the release of a golden eagle (with its attached telemetry unit to track migration patterns) from the site.







There is some information on The national aviary page and you can track individual eagles through the Institute for Wildlife Studies. I wasn't able to find a link for this particular eagle but I'm assuming it should be up soon.
